Scope of Work: This project consisted of the demolition of 35,200 square feet of existing office space to create a total of 83,200 square feet of warehouse space when combined with the existing adjacent space and renovating 12,800 square feet of existing office space. The demolition included masonry and metal stud walls, acoustical panel and gypsum board ceiling, raised access flooring, mezzanine and all associated structural steel, plumbing, mechanical and electrical items.
The newly expanded warehouse storage was increased with the installation of 161 new, 3 level storage racks and disassembling 560 existing, 3 level storage racks in an adjacent building, hauling the racks to the warehouse and reassembling them for use. Two existing overhead doors were replaced at which time dock levelers, associated equipment and controls were installed. Two new offices and restrooms were constructed in a central location in the warehouse. Energy efficient light fixtures manufactured by Energy Planning Associates were installed throughout the warehouse with motion detection sensors to activate them.
The existing canteen area was used to create the new administration office which consists of five offices, the administration area and a large conference room. Construction of these offices consisted of new metal stud walls, gypsum board, acoustical panel ceiling tile and grid, and vinyl composition floor tile. All new door frames, doors and hardware were installed throughout. Light fixtures salvaged from the demolition were reused in the new office space.
