Scope of Work: This project consisted of a massive excavation 25' deep to uncover an existing gas drip header that was in need of modifications. The drip header had failed an integrity test and NNG wanted to fabricate and install a new header tie-over, and abandon the portion of the header down stream. During the course of construction there was many important tasks involved from massive excavation, fabricating and welding 48" o.d. x 1 _" wall carbon steel pipe, removal and containment of drip or gas hydrocarbons, welding and fabrication of a 30" carbon steel tie-over line on the above grade scrubber system, and the installation of two (2) 10' diameter galvanized inspection whistles.

This project required a high degree of coordination and awareness due to the many different trades that were involved and the safety hazards present while working in an operational compressor station. We worked alongside a NNG contracted contractor that was performing integrity tests as the project progressed and removing any hazardous materials present.

Due to this projects remote location, the pre-planning of material, tools, equipment, and labor was very important to keep the project on the critical path and complete the project within the given project schedule. With the nearest city 120 miles or more away, supporting an industrial project of this size was an inconvenience in itself, not including the complications and safety measures that were taken into account to complete the contracted scope of work.
