Scope of Work: This project included the renovation of the Unit 1 Control Room and upgrade of the existing power plant controls to a DCS system for Hoosier Energy's Unit 1 at Merom Indiana. The control room work consisted of replacement of the floor, ceiling and modification to the BTG Board. The control room work required Rand to build a temporary isolation wall down the middle of the control room as the control room housed the power plant controls for both Units 1 & 2. This allowed the operation of Unit #2 while the Unit #1 side of the control room was being renovated. The plant control work consisted of installation of new transmitters, valve positioners, drives, tubing, probes etc.
