Scope of Work: This project consisted of upgrading the existing boiler controls to a digital control system for four (4) coal fired boilers. The work consisted of replacing transmitters and pressure switches, as well as upgrading the burner control system with the latest ignitors, scanners, etc. The Control Room for Units 1 and 2 were demolished to their four (4) outside walls and completely rebuilt with all control consoles, architectural features, and wiring within nine (9) weeks. The work on the Control Room for Unit 3 and 4 were identical to Units 1 and 2 except for an outage of ten (10) weeks. The installation of the new ignitors required the installation of new gas supplies, vents, scanner air systems, integrated burner controls, etc.
