Scope of Work: This project consisted of completing the upgrade of the boiler controls to a DCS system and renovation of the Unit 5 Control Room. Rand Construction had previously completed the DCS upgrades on Unit 1 thru 4 at the same station. This work included the replacement and installation of new pressure and level transmitters, installation of new valve actuators, and a complete remodel of the Control Room. The level transmitters on the deaerator and other tanks required removal of the existing piping and installation of new bridle piping.
