Scope of Work: This design build project encompasses complete demolition down to shell space of the entire 37,000 sq ft of the existing hospital's 3rd and 4th floors and various sq footage renovations on the 1st floor hospital wings of Women's Health, Allergy Immunizations, Pathology and Nuclear Medicine Departments. Several existing services and equipment were reused but modified to serve the revised sq footage than they previously served. Rand accomplished this by first taking baseline airflow and water readings to adjust existing VFD speeds and velocities so that we stayed within design parameters & guidelines. The newly renovated spaces on the 3rd and 4th floors are served by a Trane Rooftop unit that feeds from the roof down thru the mechanical chase and branches off to serve each floor. Perimeter finned tube heating was replaced to accommodate the new floor plans to account for the building loads with the curtainwall replacement.
