Engle Motors Building AdditionKansas City, MissouriNorman Jones 6633 East Truman Road Kansas City, Missouri 64126 P: (816) 241-7554 F: (816) 241-7555 Completed: February 2009 Scope of Work: This project was a design/build project to expand the existing building 3200 square feet to give the owner more room for inventory and offices. The addition is two levels and constructed to match the existing building. New grease interceptor and sampling manhole were installed to bring the building up to present codes and standards. Building construction consisted of concrete footings and foundation walls, CMU walls, 4-inch slab on grade at the lower level and slab on deck at the upper level supported by structural steel joist and decking. A new 60-mil TPO roof system and flashing were installed to match the existing. The lower level serves as the shipping and receiving area, manager's office, new restroom and employee break room. A new architectural stair case was installed to the upper level which serves as the expanded inventory storage area also allowing more room for the showroom and point of sales counters.
